How It Works

Letterland Academy has been designed so teachers can access training at any time. Our courses are appropriate for any educator who will be using the Letterland resources Teacher's Guides. Each course is asynchronous, which means you can log on and off multiple times to complete the course at your own pace. 

Self-assessed Assignments 

Test your understanding with regular self-assessed assignments. There is also a self-reflection journal so you can document your thoughts.

The course is asynchronous, which means you can log on and off multiple times to complete the course at your own pace. We offer 1 year access periods.

What materials will I need to take the courses?

The course provides professional development on how to use the Letterland instructional materials and methods. Throughout the course you will need to refer to your Teacher’s Guide and have access to Phonics Online.

Are there any assignments in this course?

Yes! The course is unfacilitated, which means there will be no coach or trainer to monitor your progress or hold you accountable for completing the course. Some assignment pages include a response activity designed to give you a chance to reflect upon your own instruction. Other assignment pages include other types of activities in addition to the response activity. You may be asked to download a specific activity template that you can use to complete the activity.
